I suddenly looked back and saw this light

This is again one of those moments where time stood still, like it often does in Yemen. I loved the dreamy feeling about this picture so put it into oils.

barcelona sketch

What I love most in Barcelona is those narrow old sidewalks where you can cool down after bright Spanish sun in the main street. Love the people, too. But cannot understand how you can drink hot coffee in the summer...

Dar Al-Hajr, Wadi Dahr, Yemen

I was going to paint this scene for a long time, but it happened only when I bought a box of tempera paints. Maybe it's a scent of ancient times that prompted me to use tempera for this drawing. Anyway, I kept the sepia tones of this photo.
