First it was nice and warm and sunny, then the rain showered on me with the sun still shining, then I got cold and wet, so instead of pre-planned 4 or 5 studies I've made only two. Force majeur, c'est la vie.

Pereslavl


There are marks made by goats that tried to contact me during my plein air session in Pereslavl, old Russian city, covered in smoke as the rest of the Central Russia now...
I left these marks untouched, I was flattered by goats' attention...

A bridge over a small creek in Sviblovo district of Moscow. Plein air was accompanied by wild ducks and frogs which provided a special soundtrack to this painting.

Here we look at Holy Protection church in South Medvedkovo, Moscow, where I spent a great Monday at Yauza river in a company of ducks and fishermen. Painters get accustomed to any company, you know.

Another perfect day in the forest, some insect bites, cacao to get me warm, some curious public, one too curious dog, more cacao, traffic jam on my way home - and here is the result.

March plein air


This is my first plein air this year and it was an extremely good time spent in the forest. Wanted to capture first spring feeling in the air, and nevermind I was freezing in the end, hot cocoa in my Thermos saved my life.
