Twilight ocean

It was supposed that I will use dark blue color of this Fabriano paper as a part of the painting, to create homogenous dark of the ocean and rocks. But alas, painting with pastels on dark paper is rather unpredictable so I didn't get that milky white sky I wanted. Put it on a shelf for now...

That's the great thing about pastels You can always go back to it and add more color as long as it's not been sprayed with a fixative. Your on the right track though reflection is never a bad idea!

Yes, you are right, RTip, so I thought, too... but the dark textured paper just "ate" any color (white) that I added, so I gave up to get a perfect milky white sky :)
